Friends
I was in Texas a couple of weeks ago visiting my family and friends. I met my good friends, Lynsey, Megan, and Deborah for lunch. Lynsey brought her 6 month old daughter, Daphne, along. Since Lynsey and I are friends, we have decided that Daphne and Riley will be good friends whether they like it or not. They didn't really interact much. Daphne chewed on her car seat strap most of the time, and Riley slept, but I'm sure they really liked each other! Here's a picture to capture their first meeting.

Smiley Riley
Riley is so happy in the mornings, and full of smiles. This video was taken just after she had woken up. Too cute!

All About Us
So more and more of my friends are making blogs, so I thought I would join in on the fun! My life is really not that interesting, but this will give me an outlet to post ridiculous amounts of pictures and stories about my new daughter, Riley. I know it can get annoying when people constantly send pictures to your email, so this way if you want to receive updates about us you can come here. I'm sure most people reading this know us, but I'll pretend there are some really bored people out there that haven't heard our story.
Aaron and I met Labor Day weekend of 2005. He was a Captain in the Army at the time, and was stationed in Ft. Hood, Texas. I was living in Austin, Texas, which is one of the greatest cities ever! I had gone home to visit my parents for the weekend in Belton, Texas, and went out with some friends to a bar, Duckhorn Tavern, in Temple. This is where Aaron and I met. My mom would like me to tell everyone that we met in church, but I'm afraid it wasn't that wholesome. Aaron and I met up again a few nights later, and from that night on I knew I was going to marry him. I even went back to work after that weekend and told my co-worker that I had met the man I was going to marry. About a year and a half later, Aaron asked me to marry him on the Spanish Steps in Rome, Italy...so romantic!

Aaron had gotten out of the Army in March 2007, and we moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma in April. Aaron had taken a job as an engineer with an oil & gas company. We were married on December 8, 2007. We went to Barbados for our honeymoon. We came home after a week with great tans, lots of wonderful memories, and a baby! Our little girl, Riley, was born on September 4th, 2008. She is now 7 weeks old, and the love of our lives! She is growing so fast, and I find it hard to believe she's almost 2 months old! I can barely remember what life was like before she was here, and that's fine with me.
I'm sure I will do a lot of bragging and story telling about all the wonderful things Riley does. Around here we consider wonderful things to be when she burps after feeding and toots, which is so cute! I'm sure everyone else will think so too! So I hope you enjoy this blog. I'll try to be good about keeping up with it.
